Manus and Prompteryx both run AI agents that use a browser, on a schedule if you want. The difference is what happens after the first run: in Prompteryx a successful run becomes a workflow you can see and edit step by step on a canvas, and it replays without AI costs.
Facts about Manus checked on 25 October 2026 from its own website and documentation. Sources are at the end of the page.
Manus is a general-purpose AI agent. You describe a goal and it plans and carries out the work: research, reports, slides, websites and web apps, and tasks in a browser. It can use a cloud browser that keeps your logins, a Browser Operator extension that works in your own Chrome or Edge, and a desktop app (macOS and Windows) that can work with files and apps on your computer. Manus has Projects, Skills, Wide Research for running many agents in parallel, scheduled tasks, and automations started by a schedule, a webhook or app events. It connects to apps such as Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, Notion, HubSpot and GitHub, supports custom MCP servers and has an API. Plans use credits, from $20 a month for 4,000 credits; monthly credits reset each billing cycle.
Every successful Prompteryx agent run can be saved as a workflow on the Visual Studio canvas, where you can see, edit and test each step. Manus turns requests into scheduled tasks and automations, but does not have a drag-and-drop canvas for editing the steps.
A saved Prompteryx workflow replays the recorded browser steps without calling an AI model, so a daily task doesn't use AI Credits each time. Manus tasks use credits on every run, and the amount depends on the task.
80+ browser actions, an element picker with fallback selectors, residential proxies, automatic CAPTCHA solving and a video of each cloud run. Manus's cloud browser uses data-centre IP addresses, according to its docs.
Mix browser steps with actions in 3,000+ apps (Connect Hub, on the Starter and Pro plans) in the same workflow. Manus offers a shorter list of built-in connectors plus custom MCP servers and Zapier.

Manus is a capable general-purpose agent with schedules, triggers, a cloud browser and a desktop app. Prompteryx is the better fit when a browser task repeats: the first run is done by an AI agent, and then it becomes a workflow you can see, edit and replay without AI costs, with residential proxies, CAPTCHA solving and a video of each cloud run.
Yes. Manus has scheduled tasks and automations that can start on a schedule, from a webhook or from app events (checked 25 October 2026). Prompteryx can schedule any chat task or workflow too. The difference is that a saved Prompteryx workflow replays its steps without AI costs.
In Prompteryx, yes: save the run as a workflow and every step appears on the Visual Studio canvas, where you can change it, add app steps and test it. Manus shows its progress and lets you rerun or schedule tasks, but does not have a step-by-step canvas editor.
Yes, for Windows (macOS is coming). Prompteryx Desktop runs the AI agent in your own Chrome with your logins. Unlike Manus's desktop app, it does not control other apps or files on your computer.
Checked on 25 October 2026: Manus plans start at $20 a month for 4,000 credits, and each task uses a varying number of credits. Prompteryx plans start at $20 a month and include 3,000 workflow executions, AI Credits and cloud-browser hours; replaying a saved workflow uses an execution but no AI Credits.
