Your personal agent
BetaAn agent with its own name that keeps working when you're not in the app: it briefs you, watches pages for you, and asks before it acts.
/agent says it is not enabled for this account yet. Everything else in the app works without it.Getting started
Once it is on for your account, the home page shows a card to set up your agent. It takes about a minute and there is nothing to type: choose its name and style, what it should look after and when your brief arrives, and it writes your first brief while you watch. You can also open /agent for the full set-up:
- Say hello to your agent: give it a name (Atlas is suggested; Nova, Sage, Juno, Orla and Remy are other ideas), choose how it talks and what it calls you.
- What should it look after?: pick the things you want help with.
- Your daily brief: choose when it arrives, then Start — write my first brief.
Prefer to talk it through? Interview me is a longer set-up where the agent asks you questions instead.
Your agent on the home page and in the sidebar
Your agent sits at the top of the sidebar like a contact. A dot shows whether it is ready, working or paused, with a line about what it is doing and a count of anything that needs you. Press it to open the agent.
On the home page, <Name> today shows what needs you (each approval as the full card, so you see exactly what it will do before you decide), anything that didn't go to plan, your latest brief, what is running and coming next, and a message box to talk to it. From there you can also set how often it pings you, pause it or personalise it. Today's spending against your daily limit is on the card.
The four tabs
Pause at the top stops all background work until you resume.
At a glance (early access): for early-access accounts, the … menu at the top right has [your agent's name] at a glance (experimental), a picture of your agent: the apps and tools it can use in the middle, the ways it reaches you around them, and which routines use each one. Tap a circle to see, for each kind of action, whether it acts on its own, asks you first or hands it to you. On the phone app it is Settings › AI › Your agent at a glance.
What it can look after
A short summary at the time you choose: your calendar and unread email (if you connected them), the weather, news on topics you pick, changes on pages it watches, and anything waiting for your approval. It can skip days when nothing is new.
“Tell me when this drops below £200” or “watch this page for changes”. A price is read the way a person would read the page, and the alert shows what it saw.
Anything you would ask the chat, on a schedule: a weekly plan, a news round-up, an inbox triage.
“Check whether tickets are on sale on Friday.” It looks once, at that time, and tells you.
Ask in plain English on Home. Anything it should set up comes back as a card that says what it will do, when, and roughly what it costs per run and per month. Save it, edit it or cancel it; Undo is there afterwards too.
Ideas
If you agree to it (Want ideas that fit your week?), the agent suggests routines that might help. Each idea has Set it up or Try it in the chat, Not now (hidden for two weeks) and Never suggest this. You can turn ideas off in Settings → Notifications.
It asks before it acts
In Settings → Permissions you decide, for each kind of action, whether the agent may do it, do it if you approved it in advance, ask first, or hand it to you. You can make exceptions for an app, a person or an amount. Some rules can't be loosened: anything involving security or money, and anything that deletes permanently, is always handed to you, and an action it can't classify always asks.
Approvals wait in Activity under what needs you, and can also arrive by email with a one-time link (it still checks that you're signed in).
Costs and limits
The agent's runs are paid with your AI credits. Settings → Spending & usage shows what it has cost so far and what is scheduled, and sets the daily and monthly limits it never goes past.
For one-off work, use the normal chat: see The Prompteryx app. For a single task that repeats, a schedule may be all you need.
