    Google Sheets

    Integration

Read, write, and manage spreadsheet data

    Overview

The Google Sheets integration allows you to read data from spreadsheets, write new rows, update existing data, and manage your Google Sheets documents. It's one of the most commonly used integrations for data storage and reporting.

Built-in Google Sheets nodes are hidden for now
The built-in Google Sheets nodes are currently hidden from the Node Library while Google verifies our sign-in. Workflows that already use them keep running, and this page documents their settings. To add Google Sheets to a new workflow, use the Google Sheets app in Connect Hub.

    Available Operations

Sheet operations: Append Row, Append or Update Row, Clear, Create, Delete, Delete Rows or Columns, Get Row(s) and Update Row. Document (spreadsheet) operations: Create, Delete and Get. The most common ones are below.

    Get Row(s)
    Retrieve data from a spreadsheet
    Parameters
    Configuration options for this node
    Spreadsheet ID or URL
    String
    Required

The ID of the spreadsheet (found in its URL), or the full URL

    Example: 1BxiMVs0XRA5nFMdKvBdBZjgmUUqptlbs74OgvE2upms
    Sheet Name
    String
    Required

The sheet (tab) within the spreadsheet — pick it from the list or type its name or ID (gid)

    Default: Sheet1
    Range
    String

A1 notation of the range to read. Leave empty for all data.

    Example: A1:Z100
    Filter Column / Filter Value
    String

Only return rows where this column (name or letter) has this value

    Example: Status / pending
    Options → Header Row

    The sheet to append to

    Default: Sheet1
    Data Mode
    Select

Map Each Column Below (set each value yourself) or Auto-Map Input Data to Columns (when the incoming data's fields match your column names)

    Default: Map Each Column Below
    Values (JSON)
    String

JSON object mapping column headers to values (used with Map Each Column Below)

    Example: {"Name": "John", "Email": "john@example.com"}

    Usage Examples

    Example 1: Log Scraped Data
Save extracted web data to a spreadsheet

    Workflow:

    1. Open Page: Product listing
    2. Extract Text: Product name → productName
    3. Extract Text: Price → price
    4. Google Sheets — Append Row:
    5. Values (JSON): {"Product": "{{productName}}", "Price": "{{price}}"}
Example 2: Process Data from Sheet
Read rows and process each one

    Workflow:

    1. Google Sheets — Get Row(s): get all rows
    2. For Each: loop over the returned rows
    3. ↳ Send an email to the row's email address
    4. ↳ Google Sheets — Update Row: match on the ID column and set Status to "sent"

    Setting Up Connection

    1. Open the Google Sheets node in your workflow
    2. In the Connection field, pick your Google Sheets credential
    3. Paste the spreadsheet ID or URL
    4. Pick the sheet from the Sheet Name list (or type its name)
For new workflows, add the Google Sheets app through Connect Hub and use its Sign in with Google Sheets button.

    Best Practices

    Use Header Rows
Always have a header row with column names. Rows come back as objects keyed by those headers, so you can reference data by column name instead of by column index.
    Add a Status Column
Include a "status" or "processed" column to track which rows have been handled. Update it after processing to avoid reprocessing the same data.
    Use Unique IDs
Add a unique ID column to easily find and update specific rows. Set it as the Column to Match On when you update a row.
