Edit History
FeatureTrack changes and restore previous versions
Overview
Edit History keeps a version of your workflow every time it is saved. You can see who made changes, when they were made, and restore any previous version if needed.
Viewing History
- Open a saved workflow
- Click History (clock icon) next to Undo/Redo at the top-left — not the Editor / History toggle on the right, which shows past runs
- Browse the Version History list, newest first (pinned versions stay at the top)
- Click any entry to expand it — you'll see its node and connection counts and the Preview, Restore and pin buttons

Restoring Versions
How to Restore
- Open Edit History
- Find the version you want to restore and click it to expand it
- Click Restore (or Preview to check it first, then Restore This Version)
- Confirm with Restore Version
Restoring never deletes history: your current workflow is first saved as a new version ("State before restoring to vN"), then the restored copy is added as another ("Restored from vN"). You can also undo a restore on the canvas with Undo (then Save), or restore again at any time.
Use Cases
Undo Mistakes
Accidentally broke something? Restore the working version from history instead of trying to remember what changed.
Audit Changes
See who changed what and when. Important for shared workflows and compliance requirements.
Compare Versions
Preview any version as a read-only canvas to review how a workflow evolved over time. Useful for understanding why certain decisions were made.
Best Practices
Test Before Restoring
After restoring an old version, test it thoroughly. The restored version may not work with current website layouts or API changes.
Pin Known-Good Versions
Before making significant changes, pin the current working version with the pin button on its entry. Pinned versions stay at the top of the list, so they're easy to find later.
